Text2Social is a productivity tool that lets you delete social apps while still posting through SMS or MMS, keeping you active without falling into doomscrolling. I developed the idea after trying other solutions like Ocean and BRICK and even building prototypes myself, but none of them truly worked. People are not wired for perfect self-control, and statistically if there is a way to override the system for short-term pleasure, we will. Social media consumes more than two hours per day on average, which equals almost 60 full days every year lost to scrolling. That realization both disgusted and inspired me, and it convinced me that this project has the greatest potential for real impact. If we help just 10,000 people delete Instagram and similar apps for one year, we give back millions of hours of productivity to society.

Scheduled posts; auto-captions; reply-to-DM via text.
$5 - 7 Billion
Text2Social uses Ruby on Rails with Sidekiq, Redis, PostgreSQL, Twilio for SMS/MMS, and direct integrations to Meta, X, and LinkedIn APIs, with a clean web dashboard for scheduling, previews, and analytics.

I jumped into a highly technical industry without the depth of knowledge required. The lesson: only build in spaces you understand thoroughly, especially when complexity is at its peak.
This venture showed me how profitable marketing can be and how cash flow can make or break a business. Ultimately, a serious tax flaw and my lack of leadership experience led to its downfall.
My first official business taught me the importance of processes and leadership. I hired poorly, managed even worse, and didn’t yet understand how critical operations were to success.
